A noob from pd to MAX

So I've been playing most of my life with pd. I love it with the same love a mother loves her son, but I think it's time to get more of a pro look.
I know pd and MAX are like the same soft, but there must be some differences. But my main doubt is that if I know well pd I will know well MAX?
    tHANK you.

. . . and two other resources include the "object" tab of the documentation - it'll help you find an object's name based on its function (when you know what you want, but you don't know what it's called); the other very helpful resource is the "see also" tab inside an object's helpfile, for when you kind of know what you want but need more guidance. The actual documentation itself can be a little daunting, but if you have years' of experience with PD you can just browse through the MSP-specific stuff and concentrate on the Max tutorials instead.
      Hippy pitching!
