I've been trying to let Max know when I'm pressing a key, while using a different Program (for ex. Safari or Logic).

I know there are some objects like 'jit.desktop' or 'mousestate' that read information while Max is not in front, but the object 'key' seems not to have this function.

Does anyone know if there is an object that would let me read keyboard information while Max is not in front?

OSX allows use of keyboard as HID input, so You could use hi object to capture

keystorkes in max independent of frontmost app.

Windows will not aloow it, no mice, no keyboard
