Alternatives to jit.desktop?

    Hi everyone!
I'm struggling with the fact jit.desktop is not currently supported in 64-bit, since this forces me to use the 32-bit version with a sensible loss in fps (from smooth 50/60 to scarce 20/30 fps). I was wandering if is there a 64-bit alternative to jit.desktop; maybe a software which does a screencast and outputs it as a virtual webcam device, or anything else which could put the display into a jitter matrix. Thanks!

      Hi Matteo ,
If you're on Mac I would suggestion searching in one of these apps that that can do screen recording and that can work with syphon. then send it over to Jitter. http://syphon.v002.info/#Apps

      Hi Phiol,
Thanks for the quick response! Your solution is clever, but seems like that plugin isn't working with the latest os x version (Yosemite 10.10.4. and Quartz composer 4.6.1) Maybe i'm wrong (i hope so) but i tested it and it keeps giving me errors. Does it work on your machine? I'm also going to try with something like this http://techlife.sg/ScreenCaptureSyphon/index.html
I'm looking for both a solution for mac and pc, since i tend to work on both platforms.

Vade's Screen Capture utility based on Quartz Composer only works on OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard). Apple changed the needed infrastructure (direct access to the compositor framebuffer of the OS) afterwards... it really is a shame... I don't know how things are right now.
I would also love to have a new GPU accelerated 64 bit jit.desktop!

This one http://techlife.sg/ScreenCaptureSyphon/index.html seems to work like a charm!

now the only thing you need is to find the equivalent for pc and spout If I see something I send it your way :-)

These are other two alternatives i found:
Anyway, in the end, seems like 32-bit jit.desktop is still better performance wise than the other 64-bit alternatives i tried so far.

I found this solution: i made a 32-Bit stand alone containing jit.desktop, and the video stream is then passed through syphon to a 64-Bit Max patch, which processes it. Everything runs smoothly at 60 fps now

      Perfect Combo !! Congrats.
Syphon is always a life saver!! I once had to split a patch into 4 different standalone apps and they all communicated through syphon . 5 screens etc....
      Thanks for reporting Matteo
