AM example in max documentation

I looked on tutorial "MSP Synthesis Tutorial 3: Using Amplitude Modulation" and the audio example sounds such as ring modulator and not as amplitude modulation.

As I understand the difference between ring modulation and amplitude modulation is that in RM the frequency of the carrier won't be presented in the spectrum. So with 1000Hz Carrier and 200Hz modulator the spectrum will contain two sidebands of 1200Hz and 800Hz.

In AM the spectrum (when using same frequencies of carrier and modulator as in the above example) should be 800Hz (lower sideband), 1000Hz (carrier freq) and 1200Hz (upper sideband) .

It seems that this is not happens in the Amplitude Modulation example.

Do I miss something?
Is my understanding of AM and RM differences is correct?

Thanks

Isn't it this should be how AM should sound like?
