I'm working on my idea for an 'automatic breakcore' patch. The idea is that you load in drum samples and the patch then plays them according to certain rules for example- two lines in 12/4 and then three in 7/4. Chaos ensues. I've gotten the samples to play randomly and quite nicely so far, but only in a sort of one after the other 4/4 sort of way.

I've got to find a way to be able to switch between time signatures rather quickly, and maybe in the future find a way to automate or randomize which time signature has demand and when.

Can anybody think of a good object or tactic for telling samples when to play according to an odd time signature? Clocker maybe?
