Well if you're allowing visual stuff, they don't come
much more 80's and iconic than Max Headroom ?!

      Hi,
Thank you for nice ideas, Andreas and Roger.
Jazz Max Hell - It's nice but Japanese might not like a word "Hell".
("Jazz From Hell" was made with Synclavier and has one live band
style recording, as far as I know)
Max Headroom - It's also a great nomination. We might have to get a
      copyright!?
      My Ideas are:
Solid Max Survivor - YMO "Solid State Survivor" - it's not in 80's.
Remain in Max - Talking Heads "Remain in Light",1980 - Max is not in
      center
Dr. Max Love, Or: How I Learned To Stop Worrying And Love MSP/Jitter
      - Stanley Kubrick "Dr. Strangelove, ...." - it's not in 80's.
      2011: A Max Odyssey - Stanley Kubrick "2001: A Space Odyssey" - it's
      not in 80's.
Construction Max Again - Depeche Mode "Construction Time Again", 1983
      - It's not so epoch-making.
I might have to give 80's up.....
      Any other ideas??
      Thank you for your contributions.

      Only two words.
The musical icon (love him or hate him) of the 80s was arguably
(ahem) Wacko Jacko. Luckily, his album "Bad" would translate to "Max"
for the book, which is only one word.
Hey, how about the musical iconess of the 80s, Madonna?
      Max a Virgin
      You Can Max
Live to Max (only a single?)
      The Immaculate Max (nah)
      Max a Prayer
      Or, the androgynous icon
      Color by Max
Miss Me Max / Max Me Blind
      Everything I Max
      Generations of Max
(The Max Mantras is a borderline option: The Martyr Mantras was, I
      think, 90s).
      Enough ideas...
      Best -- Peter

      Hi,
Thank you everyone for considering the title.
They are all nice ideas but I have not had a dinger yet.
      I'm still thinking.....

Wrong decade, I know, but surely....
      Trout Max Replica?!
I can even see the cover, with the old Opcode Max man (or David Z!) in place of the good Cap'n, holding a fish head over his face. Has to be done!
      cheers

      Hi Lists,
Thank you, Roger, Owen and all.
We are almost deciding the title as:
      "2061: A Max Odyssey"
Why 2061? It's a long story but one reason is that it's 100 years
after Max V. Matthews' "Bicycle Built for Two".
      Thank you for nice ideas.

Or maybe the one I used - "Push the Button, Max!" - when I started
      this mailing list in 1991?
