Hello, thanks for reading. I want to load (idk if load is the right term here) sound files in max 8. the files are mp3 and I placed them in the same folder as the max patch i'm in. The files are drums and the format isn't written in the files names. For example a kick would be call kick_01 or something like that. when I link an object called: open kick_01 (to continue with same example), and I link it to an sfplay, nothing happens. In face my real problem here is that it dosent seem to recognise the sound file at all cause when I'm finished typing my object and I click elsewhere, it becomes orange and tells me no sutch object!! but I got the sound files name right. If someone can help I would be really grateful thank you!
