CNMAT beat~ help crash

Hi, when i open beat~ help patch from CNMAT, max crash...can anyone confirm?

It doesn't crash on open for me, though it does crash when I try to play sound into it.
Max 5.1.8 Mac OSX 10.6

it looks very unstable...analyzer~ also crash in m4l when i connect audio input.
