Below is a slightly simplified version of the patch jit.gl.render.sphere.maxpat which comes with max. I'm trying to understand how to control various aspects of the sphere produced e.g. position, width, height, rotation. Since the sphere is rendered directly from a matrix to the [jit.gl.renderer] this is obviously a little more tricky than the usual [pak position 0. 0. 0.]. I've got position, width and height working by directly modifying the matrix but how do I get rotation to work (rotation of the shape not the whole scene)?

2) rendering to a [jit.gl.mesh] - this works but the sphere produced is very different so not a solution I want to use

3) adding three more planes to the matrix for X Y Z rotation angles.

I think option 3 is probably the way to do it but I'm unsure how those planes then get used. Does the renderer expect data in a certain order to interprete it as a 3D shape or is there something telling the renderer the order of data that I'm just not seeing?
