Hi all,

CPU skyrockets on startup of Max - I'm running 6.1.5 and Mavericks.

I opened max 10 minutes ago - no patches are open and the CPU has only just returned to 5% after hovering between 85% and 96%.

It's been a while since I've encountered this problem but it has cropped up again recently. Andrew Pask was helpful last year in this thread: https://cycling74.com/forums/100-cpu-on-startup-with-10-7-3/

Last year I noted that removing sqlite.mxo from extensions fixes the problem - this is still true, however you lose the the code completion drop down menus which is not really a solution. Also tried the database reset option suggested in the previous thread to no avail.

Any ideas about a solution for this from anyone at C'74?
