This is more of a feature suggestion-request that a question since it doesn't seem to be possible yet.

I'm using encapsulate on a daily basis, this is for me one of the most helpful shortcut , just like the recent "shift+drag" to insert objects along patchcords — this one could actually be improved a bit as well, like allowing to insert objects not only on first inlet, or objects already connected somehow (at least expanding a bit its range of actions)

Anyway, I use DE-capsulate very rarely, because it often creates a mess in my patches, especially if the subpatch is very crowded... What about allowing to decapsulate selected objects, from the inside? Those objects would be just "left outside", creating additional inlets or outlets on top or bottom on subpatchers — as many as first or last objects in the patch tree exist. Obviously this would imply to differentiate decapsulating "above" or "below" from simply de-capsulating a single patcher object , but I don't think this would clutter the menu or the experience — maybe I'm wrong though... Still I'm curious if something in that spirit would make sense to users ! Cheers,
