Detecting if running as stanalone

    Sep 25 2007 | 6:51 am
    Hi Max
I have two set-ups for the same patch; one when I edit it and one
when it is exported as a standalone. For instance I like to have the
menu bar hidden when it is a standalone but not when I am editing it.
So, until now I have been cutting and connecting wire connections
every time I export as an application.
Is there a way to ask the application if it is running as a
standalone? Using the 'thispatcher' object for instance?

      Hi,
How about the max message "getruntime"? On loadbang, trigger a
message box which contains "; max getruntime toto", and the receive
      toto will tell you everything;-)
      Cheers,

there is a message to max "getruntime" that will return if max is in
      standealone.

If you had my Max Overviews installed you'd have some help files for
messages to Max. This is one of it:
(A Standalone is a runtime version of Max)
