i would like to recreate the detonate binary file format using fileout. is it documented somewhere?

nah, it can export midi, text oder binary.

since midi export sucks, i need to use one of the others. there the time resolution at least remain in milliseconds (yet int). :)

so my idea was - when i need to use this format anyway - to also generate compatible files with custom processes (eventually even other apps). i´d also like to read in (and correctly interpret) this kind of files using [filein] to be able to use it with other objects.

the binary format seems to be similar to the text file format but there are parts which i dont get, no matter if i look into ASCI, hex, bin, or decimal view.

in case you wonder: text and binary are only available through the "write" message, binary has vanished on later windows versions, and both is nowhere documented.

i guess i am going to use the textformat, but that will be a lot more work than using binary data.

This must be going to get the better way to find out the overall which may be getting the valuable part so the user 

 will manage to complete the process to enhance the tools of graphics.
