Tell me how the styles are going for ya? I quite like idea of styles and formatting, but I'm reading the vignette here concerning styles and am finding some trouble. Do your styles work? I have found a bug, but features as well.
So here are some things I've noticed.
- Firstly, Default, but not modified, attributes are always affected when you format the patcher globally (i.e. without having selected something). This threw me off for a second, but its actually awesome.
- When formatting groups/individual objects from a style in the library, nothing will be called unless the patcher itself has been formatted with the intended style globally beforehand. It seems that max can't find the file without having done this first. It knows things aren't right as the unformatted objects gain the intended style name with a plus after it.
- If you format an object/patcher more than once with the same style, another style is created with an incremented name despite no changes having occurred. Any ideas?
