I have this patch, based on MSP tutorial about compressors, but I've been having this issue with omx.compressor~ everytime I use it.

It sounds good when i first engage it, then it basically seems to do nothing, like it's bypassed. Does it over load and need to be reset or something?

2. start the metro so you can hear the kick drum

4. lower the attack time, release time and raise the ratio.

When I do that the kick will start to sound good, then the compression part disappears and it sounds bypassed and the controls don't seem to do anything.

If others get the same result as me and know what's happening please let me know.

I am including a test patch below. 
1. start the audio
2. start the metro so you can hear the kick drum
3. put the gate to opening 1
4. lower the attack time, release time and raise the ratio. 

When I do that the kick will start to sound good, then the compression part disappears and it sounds bypassed and the controls don't seem to do anything. 

If others get the same result as me and know what's happening please let me know.
