    hi all!
i have hundreds of wav file opened one by one, randomly, by sfplay~ and am looking for a way to have them on a same level. because they aren't. Not quite experienced with compressing and stuff like this, so i ask for help. any tip? thanks!

[omx.comp~] sounds excellent and is simple to use since it has several presets built right into the object. [omx.peaklim~] may also be of use.

thanks, i already tried to use them, but without glory. I've tried a bit, but couldn't find any magic setting (threshold, gain, amount etc...) that would enable me to have more or less the same perceivable amount of sound from sources very different.
      Is there?

if the single audiofiles don't have too drastic dynamic changes within themselves it would also help to normalize them to the same peak level beforehand (with another app)...
