equivalent of unix file commande in max

      those unix commands trigger processes (say like
      coreaudio or quicktime extension) which you
      can not reach from max - unless you either use
      the [shell] object ... or involve MSP.
      i have never been doing this but maybe [filein]
      would give you the "info" stuff .. just open the
      file?s resoure fork only and well .. no idea. :)
