export automatic to hinted movies bug

    Hello list,
I'm busy with an automatic exporter patch from a movie to a not-selfcontained hinted movie. But it looks like jit.qt.movie ignores the uncheck of Make Movie Self-Contained. It happens only when i export with the message like: 'export hinted-dozer.mov 0'. If i use export fulldialog or export 1 the hinted file is not self-contained.
    Max/MSP 4.6.2 Jit 1.6.2
    MacPro 2 X 2.66Ghz, 4GB - OSX 10.4.7, QT 7.1.2
here is a simple patch which shows the problem:

has/can anyone checked if the export of the movie to an hinted movie (not self-contained) give the same result as above?
      thanks,
      aart

      Hi aart,
      How are things?
I checked your patch and I can confirm: I do exportsettings, uncheck 'self-contained', then do 'export hinted-dozer.mov 0'. The file is saved self-contained nonetheless.
I got various strange errors while I was fiddling with your patch, kindof similar to the flatten problem that was fixed in 4.6.2, including a max freeze and not possible to force-quit and not possible to soft-restart computer.
From your patch, it took me quite some time to discover what the actual problem was. Perhaps it would be better if you want to illustrate your problem, not to link all actions to the first loadbang, but rebuild your example-patch in a 'steps to reproduce'-style, i.e. 1) load movie, 2) press exportsettings and uncheck self-contained, 3) press 'export hinted-dozer.mov 0', so that more people can have a look at what's happening.
      Cheers,
      Mattijs
