I am working on the use of a custom C Max Extension (mxe64 in this case) and when I add that to my MaxForLive patch the ext_main is getting called four times. Is there a reason for this, or have I don't something wrong with my patch?

I wanted to use the ext_main as my place to initialize a few things (and I can set vars toknow this) but it seems odd that this is getting called four times.
