External Control Assignment For Slice Selection?

Is there a way to assign key controls or external controllers which would select the individual slices displayed in the Channel Inspector? Basically I want to set up a series of controllers which would allow me to select the various slices of a loop during playback with button pushes. I know that this can be done by clicking on the individual slices in the Channel Inspector with the mouse but I would like to be able to assign a controller to this function.
Any information would be greatly appreciated!!!

Sure. The "radiaL Parameter Listings" section of the manual lists
all the control messages that radiaL understands.
In the case of the start point of a loop, the message is
      chan_(1 - n).loop.start
where (1-n) is the loop channel number and
the start point is a value from 0. to 1.0
similarly, the length of the loop selected is
      chan_(1 - n).loop.length
where (1-n) is the loop channel number and
the length is a value from 0. to 1.0
What you'd do is to set up a bunch of external controller
messages that would send both of these messages. See
the manual section called "Personalizing Your Instrument" -
in particular the section called "Creating Your Own
Controller Templates" for an explanation of how this is
      done.

Thanks for the response. I have been able to set up one controller to access one slice of a loop which consists of multiple slices but I am still not sure how to set up the controllers for multiple slices on the same channel. In the control map window there is one listing for the chan_1.loop.start setting and one listing for the chan_1.loop.length setting. I would think that in order for me to be able to assign controllers to all of the slices of a loop on an individual channel I would need access to multiple instances of the chan_1.loop.start and chan_1.loop.length settings in the control map window. Is there a way around this. Thanks!!!

You might want to take a look at a controller map as a raw
text file, in this case. That's probably the easiest way to
edit something like that quickly. I'm sure some examination
in relation to the section on creating your own templates
will elucidate matters [and provide you with hours of tweakin'
      fun].
