Far off feature request for 10.5+ jitter 2.x - iChat AV integration.

    Hello
I was perusing the ADC documents and the recently published 'Leopard State of the Union' address, where it is mentioned that iChat will have a public API for integrating 3rd party applications into the streaming video and audio capability.
I humbly submit the feature request (for jitter 2.0, or whatever, waaaayyyyy down the queue of important things), to have a jit.ichat object that allows submitting arbitrary matrix data to an iChat stream, as well as outputting something akin to 4 char 320x240 (or.. well, you know, whatever) matrices back out for the chat participants incoming video and audio data.
I am imagining something akin to Elisa (the iChat/AIM robot), but with an A/V capability, and the possibility of including chat participants into the AV stream, mixing sources, etc.
I think it could be fun, possibly interesting and open up some uses for distributed art. Then again, what the fuck do I know?
Of course, if there is a solution that is cross platform that works well, that would be the way to go.
But that feature looks really fun regardless.
    Thank you.
P.S. I am well aware I am dreaming, and that C74 has plenty of more important things to do. However, maybe some other industrious individual with spare time would be willing to take something like this on once 10.5 ships. I dont have enough c chops to do it (at least now).
    Thanks again.

that would be fun. Ive done jams by routing the ichat audio through soundflower. It sure would be fun to start up a chat and have your video be processed.

another potentially cool thing is that ichat allows chats with multiple particiants for video.
      could be neat.
      annywwwaaaayyyy...... :)
