I am requesting feedback (One short sentence will be enough) on my patch which changes a phrase from one key to another.

It uses ASCII computer keyboard input (Keys ASDFG for white keys, WET for black) and currently only uses Pentatonic Major and Harmonic Minor for the sake of simplicity during the design phase. There is no user interface but the program does work comprehensively. There are two buttons on the left labeled Major and Minor to change a recorded phrase from one key to another and below that, a Record, Stop and Play buttons - Stop must be used when Phrase Recording is finished before the Play button is pressed.

Any questions, feel free to message or alternatively just post trollish comments to the this topic. Either works for me.

1. Do you have a giant monitor? the amount of patching here should/could fit on a 13 -15" laptop screen. Its kind of nice to be able to see all the patch without having to constantly scroll around. 90% of this patch could disappear in presentation mode or encapsulating.

2. Only the A S E D F and G keys work for me. The only difference in notes is between the E and D keys (minor or major 3rd). You have labeled 'harmonic minor" but for there to be harmonic minor you need a minor sixth and leading tone (major 7th).

I would like to know what computer you are using as I don't think I used platform independent ASCII codes so that might explain it. The patch should load in the "major pentatonic" mode which allows ONLY the use of the ASDF and G keys. The button labelled Harmonic Minor should allow only the use of ASEF and G. (Don't ask me why I thought that that was anything like a proper scale but in all honesty the patch is about getting an inputted musical phrase to follow a different set of harmonic rules - which it does - nevertheless, thanks for pointing out that if those rules were adherent to some type of common musical standards then it would bena lot more useful.

The suggestions are perhaps easy to spot when you haven't been looking at the patch for months in a row: I already fixed one issue your comments drew my attention to - there were two loadbangs causing conflict. I shall send you the improved patch to get your thoughts on the harmonic filter improvements. As for the size of the patch I'm not sure how I will improve it, but it goes without saying that it is almost unusable currently, so definitely needs something doing - though I'm not entirely sure what that is yet!

Actually the keys work correctly. But your post mentioned W E T keys and only the E works. W and T are not used right now.

Here is an example of highlighting the 'user' stuff in your patch. Click on presentation view after you open the patch to se what I mean.
