FLAC reader / writer for Max

    Dear all,
I'm looking for a Max external that read and save audio file in FLAC file format ( http://flac.sourceforge.net ), for both OSX and XP.
I just would be sure that it doesn't exist before start writing it in C.
    Thanks

i don't know about any readymade externals, but
on osx one easy solution is to call the flac command-line prog with
      the [shell] object.
      this works quite nicely.
i guess there is something similar on win.
then again, this might not be the answer you were looking for.
