I just encountered this for the first time today: strange flickering when using multiple jit.gl.camera objects. I'm guessing this has to do with the order in which I'm attempting to render each of the gl objects? Or, maybe it has to do with jit.gl.node? I tried using the to_texture trick into jit.gl.render without success. Can anyone else verify the flickering on their machine? Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks for the reply Andro. So, given that I'm using one jit.gl.node already in the patch, how would you suggest implementing these camera render contexts? Do each of these camera's nodes render to multiple, layered video planes? Thanks!

Using the "to_texture trick" is possible, you'll have to [erase, position camera, bang your shape@automatic 0] 4 times. Then put your 4 resulting texture on 4 videoplanes positionned on the desired viewport.

Thanks Andro and Vincent. After hours of working on this, I'm thoroughly stumped.

Andro, going off your patch, how would you make multiple camera angles of the same gl gridshape object? I tried connecting the same object to jit.gl.nodes but that clearly doesn't work. If you need two camera angles, do you need two or more identical gl objects each to get referenced by their own camera, or is there a more efficient way to grab the information from two or mroe angles?

Vincent, I need the jit.gl.node to do slab processing, so I cannot get rid of it (I removed it from my patch I posted here to simplify my question). Given that I need to use jit.gl.node, can you think of a better arrangement so as not to double, triple, or quadruple all of my gl objects just to get two, three, or four camera angles?

Any instructions can be sent to all 4 shapes like mesh distortion or jit.anim.drive.

Maybe not the most efficient solution but it'll work quickly.

Just use 4 copies of the same shape !

You can use jit.gl.node as a sub context and keep a similar solution to what I posted earlier.

Then you'll need to enable the capture on each camera to further slab-process your sub-contexts rasterizations.

Display the final result by positionning 4 videoplanes (rather than using the viewport of jit.gl.cameras.)

you will get flickering if the camera viewports overlap. additionally, you need to add the gl.cameras to the capturing gl.node sub-context.

i've modified your patch to show capturing 4 camera viewports from a gl.node for further processing.

if this doesn't get you going, please explain further what you need.
