I just downloaded max and am getting started. I am eager to make great live visuals and lean max as a whole. I am having a bit more trouble than expected.

I am looking at the audio splitter vizzie which is contributing much more random automation than expected. I have been frankensteining patches from the help window which includes a p random notes command. Even when my computers dac is not playing audio I still see movement. What is going on here?

I thought about possibly using jit.catch to convert my audio signal to control vizzie parameters for somthing with less latency but cannot figure how to convert the matrix data to a vizzie input.

Additionally I have had trouble with stuttering video. I stumbled upon the qlim function and that has seemed to help reserve some cpu. I also have converted my videos to 480p and minimum resolution, and turned them into mov files and this also seemed to help. I was surprised to see so much issues setting up a patch with more than one video, considering vizzie 2 is a large feature that attracted me to max. Most posts where people discribe similar issues people suggest using jit.world and other methods jit methods for video manipulation live instead, albeit some of these examples were outdated. Are these issues regular? I suppose I was expecting a much more plug and play feel with vizzie.
