I can't seem to get this to work, just referencing the references, probably something super simple. I'd appreciate anything to put me in the right direction. Below is my codebox.

param a(2.);
param b(7.);
param c(14.);
param d(20.);

purp = vec(0.5, 0, 0.5);
green = vec(0, 0.75, 0.5);
yellow = vec(1, 0.75, 0);
red = vec(1, 0, 0); 

if (in1 < a) {
    out = in1 + purp;
    }
    else {
    out1 = in1;
    }

i think you just need to capitalize the params (Ex: 'Param a(2.);....')

'Param'... 'History' when declared up top like those, are capitalized because they're referring to a class, and the name after(Ex: 'a') is the name of a specific object(instance) instantiated from that Class definition.

(also, not as important, but helps to read it more accurately if you list all outs as being the same 'out1'(you have 'out = in1 + purp;' as the first part of the conditional, i don't think it breaks it but if you had more than one out it would read confusing))

hope that fixes it(i don't get errors after capitalizing Params from a 'jit.gl.pix' codebox, but i've not tested it very thoroughly...) 🍻

Although I'm not seeing any color. The reference says that if statements don't work with vectors(or just the first float of vec) so I guess I have to keep looking.

oh right, ...but maybe you could parse them out like "purp.y", "purp.z" etc.

also, i realize now, if you have "out1 = in1"(an extra one outside the whole 'if' conditional) at the very end, that will override everything else you've done before.
