hi object help

    Basic Max question:
I'm trying to take the output of the hi object and separate out the control messages (using the help file patch). Does anyone have a patch that will do this that I can take a look at? I can see it only taking one or two steps, but I'm drawing a blank.
    Thanks! -- charlieHUGE _________________________ www.hugemultimedia.com www.charlie-huguenard.com www.massholemusic.com

Don't know if i understand the question but did you try "route" object? Maybe it solves your separating problem.

Check out the "spray" object. Hi outputs the number of the controller element and the value the element is sending as a list. Spray will send the element's value out of the corresponding outlet. Of course route works too....just needs more arguments (i.e. more to type). :)
