high CPU % and fans going crasy since update to Max 6.1.6

After Max 6.1.6 (Max616_131209) update, sometimes Max (with no patches open) uses around 103.7% CPU and fans going crasy. See screenshot in attachment. Never noticed this with Max 6.1.5 (Max615_131030) or before. Does anyone has the same experience?

Hello, Nobody with this problem? I have gone back to Max 6.1.5 (Max615_131030) because with Max 6.1.6 (Max616_131209) update my CPU goes to 103.7% and fans going crasy from the beginning i open Max without patch open.
Max 6.1.5 (Max615_131030) ONLY open CPU is normal around 18%. Max 6.1.6 (Max616_131209) ONLY open CPU is direct around 103%
Max 6.1.5 (Max615_131030) WITH a patch open CPU is normal around 60%. Max 6.1.6 (Max616_131209) WITH the same patch open CPU is direct around 140%. And then crashes?
      Why? Thanks.

Hi unfamiliar as I am with Max on Macs (!), CPU usage of 18% with no open patch running does not sound normal to me. Are you doing any processor-intensive stuff while Max is open, like, I don't know, video editing or downloading/streaming content? If you look at my attached screenshot, you'll see my CPU at 0%, then at around 25-30% running a 32-voice Gen-based granulator. Which is "normal" if not optimal.

Also, very small IO buffer and vector sizes impact upon CPU, of course
      Max 6.1.5 32-bit Win7
(so that's probably not very helpful)

      Hello
I have gone back to Max 6.1.4 (still on OS X 10.8.5) and still +-12% CPU, but ok with some patches open and running.
No other activity except Safari open, but internet connection off.

There may be some help here:

Thanks. Very weird: On a 4 year older MacBook Pro (Mountain Lion) with half the speed (CPU) and memory, Max 6 runs at the same speed and sometimes faster? Is their a possibility that this have to do with the SSD hard drive (OWC), as system and application disc, on my late 2012 MacBook Pro?
Would it help to disable the Mountain Lion unneeded system background activities? Are their other possibilities i can test?
