    hi,
i'm working on an external that manipulates the contents of a buffer~
    object.
how do i notify buffer~ that its data has changed, e.g. in order to
    get a display update of
    the waveform~ object?
    thanks,
    volker.

Speaking of which, is there an etiquette/must-do list for externals
      that write into buffers~?
