I want to round 2.01 to 3 or 3.23 to 4 or 5.4 to 6 and so on.

Well in [Round] + 1 if I have 2.65 it will be 3 + 1

Yes.. but in your question all your examples were between x.0 and x.5..

If you need same rounding in negative direction ?

round 1. @nearest 0. does not work
it should output 1 if input is 1


could be done nicer, works with negative too:

depending on what you want it to be you to have to take care about the sign or not.

but that does not differ from "round" at all where you have to do the same.

however it is not related by marriage to round, but to truncate. 

and then inverse the input range of $f1 from 0-max to max-0... eventually by bitwise operation...

truncate down:

or just simply 'gen @expr out=ceil(in1);'

in max-expr ceiling does something different. 

but i am sure there is a shorter version of my #3. it is not really good readable....

and it outputs -0. for 0. which can only be fixed by making it longer. :)
