Had a hard drive crash, my backup drive for some reason does not have all of the externals n such that I had downloaded over the years... and am trying to salvage a really huge, insanely convoluted comp that is now missing something, and is wigging out and crashing Max anytime I try to save.

Is there any way to search within a patch for missing objects? As in - *any* object that is simply missing and/or not loading correctly? ( Not by any specific name.) That would allow me to find the externals or subpatches that got gone in the crash.

I love the Find function - can find every "send" (nested or not) in a patch easily. I want to search for "any objects that are missing"

OR - is there a human readable crash log for Max that might help point me to the errant object/problem?

I don't get any errors in the console, just a punt

if am not mistaken anything not present should print a "cant find ..."

I cover up the console with windows often - bad habit

Also - File > List Externals and Subpatcher Files
