howto point - vector in 3d

    Feb 10 2009 | 5:38 pm
Hello i'm a max user but a newbie in jitter, i can see many interesting things, but i cannot find an easy way of drawing a point in a specific position in a 3d space, same for a vector..
Have the feeling open GL would be good but cannot find a specific object for a point or line...
I know it has to be super easy..
    Waiting for your suggestions guys
    Alberto

try jit.gl.sketch. See the help for details about drawing specific shapes.

to draw a point in 3d space you can use the jit.gl.mesh object. see its help
      file for usage. have fun

ok nice, i checked and it is very simple. Maybe i can ask another detail... ;) I try moving my point to follow some music signal, e.g., a sinusoid. How can i move it? Should i erase and redraw it every frame or there is a better way in open GL?
      Cheers

with sketch yes, you have to erase and rebuild the drawing commands.
If you're drawing tons of lines, you'll probably want tofigure out the
matrix math for generating lines that can then be drawn en mass with
      jit.gl.mesh.
