jit.scissors vs. jit.submatrix

Does anyone know offhand about performance differences between jit.scissors and jit.submatrix??
Right now I am trying Jit.scissors (@rows 5 @columns 5), using only the output of row 1 at columns 1,3,5 at a resolution of 640x480. Since I am not using the other 22 outlets, I was wondering if it might be cheaper to use 3 jit.submatrix objects (@dim 128 96 @offset 0 0 - for the first subregion)???
    Thanks a bunch.

i believe the same algorithm is used for both objects. non-connected
      scissors outlets are ignored.
