Retrieving attributes via js seems straightforward as long as standard Max externals are queried. Trying this on abstractions though reveals a restricted set of queryable attributes. The js code

    r = this.patcher.getnamed(name).rect;

    a = this.patcher.getnamed(name).annotation;

    h = this.patcher.getnamed(name).hint;

    post("rect", r, "annotation", a, "hint", h, "\n");

queries an abstraction with varname "abstract_A" in the same patcher level which has strings in the annotation and hint attributes set. Output:

js: rect 380 70 437 91 annotation <undefined> hint <undefined>

Seems odd, but is there a way to also retrieve Common Box Attributes annotation and hint via js?
