I want to match the RGB coordinates from a swatch object to the closest color on a color scale.

I tried several things to date, but this time I trying with jit.op @op ==p, but then again...

If you have any leads or tips for how I might achieve this task, let me know. Thanks!

I'm still a newbie in Max. Thanks for sharing. I haven't gotten to learning jit yet but it looks neat. As for myself, after finding the swatch object I found the suckah object which I was delighted to learn that it can be placed over pictures to create my own swatch. So I think you could also use a suckah object over a photo or video.

Something I'd like to learn how to do is to make a customized RGBW (white) or RGBA (amber) color picker. The problem is in figuring out how to make adjustments. For example, red and green make amber, but when there is an amber led green can be decreased. Also, there are other colors, like lime green and UV. So I wonder how to make a customizable color picker / swatch. Though the suckah and swatch are great for RGB.

As a starting point, white and yellow values can be set to the minimum of their composite primaries. iow, the minimum value of the red and green channels sets the yellow channel. Likewise, the minimum of all three channels can be used for white. You can use [fpic] for your image with [suckah] on top and then convert the [suckah] output to your desired LED values.
