MaxMSP Demo Limitations?

I raised this question raised in "This is "audio" program right?" thread, but am afraid that it will get lost in long thread, and would like to know the answer.
Part of the problems that newcomers have seem to be connected to demo behavior sometimes, so maybe it would be nice if someone from Cycling explained the exact situation.
I seem to remember that during demo period MSP DSP can be activated only once per restart. I'm quite sure that this was the case some time ago. Also, Mac and PC demo versions differ slightly - on PC you have to click "demo" every time you want to open new patch and on Mac only when you start the program.

The one-time-only audio limit was when Max and MSP were sold as two different products from two different software companies and if you had a Max license but MSP in demo mode.
This might crop up if you license Max on its own (which is maybe still an option if you really try hard). But if you have Max/MSP as a combo demo and get the one-time-only audio, there is probably something strange with Pace going on.

Ok, I know I remeber this was the case and that I had the similar problem.
I often had a feeling that part of the beginners problems with MSP was related to this "feature".
It is good to know that I was wrong. Now I can stop giving wrong advice :)
