MaxPatcher getPath() method

    hi all,
    i'm trying to use the getPath() method but it returns an empty string.
    i use this code :
    this.getParentPatcher().getPath();
    any idea?

      yes of course. i tried the getFile() method, which returns the full path (ending by file name) but that's not what i want... i only want the path to the containing directory.

      I dont know if i will get to look at what's going on more closely but if getFile is working and returning the the full path as a string why not...
      getFile().substring(0,lastIndexOf((int)File.separatorChar));
