Can m4l send to midi yoke ports without actually routing it through the track output itself?

I tried sending to the track out to midi yoke but all the midi data I generate gets turned into whatever channel the track out says. Im attempting to send 8 different midi channels from one device out to midi yoke.

in short you can't send midi from a m4l device to another midi port. you can though send OSC messages to other devices via udpsend.
