I have posted this before, since we can not manually assign unique IP to MIra whether in max or on ipad app, we can not achieve something similar to touchOSC that getting motion sensor data from a specific ipad when connecting to multiple ipads. Though I can work around using "Identifier" to get motion data from each ipads. In a recent project, I used mira to get motion data from 6 ipads simultaneously. It can read the data without any problem, but it frequently crashes, esp when all ipads were doing heavy motion actions. I tried with different wifi routers including apple time capsule, the problem keeps the same. Mira gets very unstable to get motion data from multiple ipads simultaneously, and it crashes Max. I wonder if this is a mira issue or due to my max patch.
Have anyone successfully used MIRA to connect to multiple ipads while reading each of its motion data for a stable performance in a certain amount of time, say an one hour performance.
Finally, again, I strongly recommend to enable manual IP assignment together with unique tab assignment so that each iPad mira host can get different UI not interfering with each other. This is really essential for public projects and group performance, and this gonna make MIRA truly almighty powered. And based on my limited knowledge, it should not be that difficult to implement this feature, isn't it?
