MIRA for iphone/ipodtouch //dreaming//
hallo!
so happy to know about MIRA app release. but one of the greatest things of idevices, is the small size they have. an iphone/ipodtouch can be held in the palm of a hand, allowing you to integrate it into a musical instrument, stick it to a mic, give it to the audience, or be hold by a dancing dancer... many things the size of an ipad can't allow.
just wanted to ask kindly that you think to implement this great app (why took it so long to exist?!) for iphone/ipodtouch.
p.d.:i remember an old app called C74, that gave me so much happyness. i used it in many performances, with several idevices that were given to the audience, who controlled live some aspects of the performance like illumination, sound, and interact live with the videomapping.
i hope i can do this someday using MIRA.
thanks a lot!
hi there! i also would love to have MIRA in my iphone!
me too.
:/
Yes, an update introducing universal version with iPhone support would be greatly appreciated by me too.
Come on Cycling 74, do it please!
I can only assume that once some of the major kinks get worked out that there will be an iphone version. Personally, I would rather see them spend more time on object compatibility. There are still a bunch of standard objects that don't work in Mira.. But yeah.. an iphone version would rock!
I would love a version for the iPod / iPhone I'm too. I'm waiting for it and meanwhile work with c74 but that doesn't get updated anymore.
I would love to get an iPhone version too. I have the same problem that c74 doesn't get updated anymore.
Agreed - it would be very nice to be able to clip my iPhone to my jammer keyboard and add the motion detection.
As an alternative, does anyone know of motion detection devices that could be used with Max?
Ken.
I also would need an iPod / iPhone version desperately …….

Now that there's iPhone Gigantic with the 6+, which is nearly as big as an iPad mini, I think there's an even stronger case for a universal app.
Anybody working on a universal version ? It is definitely needed. If Mira is a 1 guy project is there a way to give that person a hand ? I am more than willing to work on this. I am using it now for prototyping UIs on the iPad (but for an iPhone app) all from Max. It works well, but lots of things need fixing.
Thanks.
Totally!
We agree!
What can we do to help get to having MIRA work on iPhone 6, iPod touch, iPad mini, etc?
We believe that'd push a lot more MAX into the world ;)
HOW CAN WE HELP.????

yes +1! come on!
i too would LOVE an iPhone version!
i am currently using an old iPhone strapped to my arm in live performance. i've made a glove with a wireless transmitter attached and i'm currently switching between music apps.
i really i want to create patches that utilize the accelerometer data specifically.
MAX/MIRA is the logical choice.
thanx for all of your efforts!
Plus one! An iphone app for MIRA, please!!!
a few days after mira for html has been announced, requests for an iOS version are somehow odd. :)
@ROMAN THILENIUS I was thinking the same, but maybe I am missing something
no good deed goes unpunished ;-)
It’s 2019 now! Still waiting for MIRA to become available for iPhone.
using my pad with logic remote.l and don’t have time to switch between apps in live performances.
Having 2 iPads seems a bit excessive right now.
touch OSC kind of works as an alternative, but that relies on WiFi which may or may not be reliable depending on the venue.
Wil, you can wait for a long time, as it seems the mira app has been discontinued and replaced by miraweb and xebra.js.
Vichug, Miraweb is great cross platform solution, but there will always be cases where I want to a more stable USB connection.
Also Vichug. There is still an entire page dedicated to MIRA - https://cycling74.com/products/mira
Yes, it still exists, but the last update of the ios app dates from 2 years ago. I‘m honestly surprised it’s still on the store, given Apple politic of removing apps fast when they are not updated frequently and become incompatible with more recents ios. However, from my experience, mira through usb was not easy to setup, neither more stable than through wifi ! ymmv though.
