need to learn max msp to use jitter

    Hello and sorry for this basic question. I'm a light programmer / doing motion graphic and real time media manipulation (media server). I plan to learn Jitter. Do I really need to master Max msp to be able to use jitter ? I'm sure there is common feature (input ...) but do you really thing I should go thru the max msp tutorials before to jump to jitter ?

      To a point, yes. I think going through the tutorials and learning the very basics (how message boxes work, how bang function, how to use objects, attributes, etc.) is a good thing to do before starting using either MaxMSP or Jitter. Once you've mastered the basics focus on the Jitter tutorials and their explanations of things that you want to accomplish.
