I'm needing to 36 synchronised audio outputs to control an installation.
I'm wanting to send control voltages instead of straight audio signals. In other words, I'll have to customise the cards so that they pass DC offset.
This means using a nice expensive audio interface is not on.
What are the chances of me building a PC and putting in a series of cheap surround sound cards instead? Would feel more inclined to attack these with the soldering iron.
Can I run multiple sound cards in sync on a PC like this?
Does the multiple soundcard issue only apply to Macs, or PC's as well?
