Optimization of Patch - I need a better frame rate

    Sep 22 2009 | 7:37 am
I'm a noob, I'm going to go straight out and say it.
I have the patch I've mashed up/joined etc and it's pretty much doing what I want, I'm still building on it.
BUT my frame rate has gradually got worse.
My system is 2.6GHZ Dual Core, MBP, 256 Vid Car, 4gb Ram
I use the Apple Intermediate Codec for my clips and they'll 640x480 but my frame rate is not much better than 14fps
Any tips suggestions, hacks would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

have you tried the vade optimizations?
searching the forum for "optimizations" should also reveal much information.

Similar to the optimization tactics presented in Vade's patches.
Presumably also apple prores codec will give a performance boost, and it works also on windows (where intermediate codec doesn't).

Does anyone know why an error appears whenever I try to create a new patch as "New from clipboard" by pasting the patch provided in this topic? It happened before with other patches but not with all.
      The error message is:
      clipboard JSON conversion
      syntax error in array: line=2131, char=28, text='..., "bang"], "fontname" : "Arial", "patching_rect" : [ 12r'
      Any advice would be welcomed!
