I just found an oscilloscope on the street yesterday!
There is an IEEE-488 port on the rear end on the thing. I've read that one could use that to send the info from the oscilloscope into a computer and:
* Take measurements with the scope
* Put the measurements in a computer file
* Analyse the data with Mathcad, Matlab, Excel, etc.
I was thinking about getting a cable like this to send the info from the osc to my computer:
So the question is, do you guys have any idea or even experience with what you could do to route the signals from the oscilloscope into Max/MSP?
My idea was to send some sort of signal into the osc to get some sort of waveform and then "modulate" the wave on the osc and get MAX to measure how the wave looks on the display and make some changes on rulers and knobs based on the data received from the osc.
Hope you guys can help!
