The Atrium Sound Space is accepting
submissions of ambient sound art for its 2007-2008 season, to
commence in mid-September. Submissions should be received by June 30,
2007. The 2007-2008 schedule will be announced in August.
The Atrium Sound Space is a gallery dedicated to presenting sound art
installations as sonic environment in public spaces.
Exploring the intersections between sound art, public presentation,
sound & architecture, auditory culture, and acoustic ecology/
soundscape studies, the Atrium Sound Space is a unique venue with a
unique mission: integrated with rather than segregated from the daily
life and soundscape of the building in which it is located, the
Atrium Sound Space seeks to foster an awareness of sound as an
integral component of culture, social life, and daily interactions.
Located in the lobby of Benildus Hall on the College of Santa Fe
campus in Santa Fe, New Mexico, the Atrium Sound Space runs
continuously throughout the year - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
