I'm working thru the "Jitter Patch of the day" tuts to increase my feeble jitter-skillz

Am working on a patch based directly on the example "Day 5" from the page -

Fundamentally no changes except I have changed the particle generator's jit.gl.gridshape to "plane" and added a bitmap texture.

My question ( before going too far down this rabbit hole ) - is there a way to have the particles point their Y axis along their present motion path?

Think identical to "Align to Path" in After Effects or "Boids" - but with the physical interactions being like the "Day 5" patch.

The idea is - bitmaps of arrows that turn to face their direction of motion as they follow the attraction source, on a per-arrow level.

I sense that there is not good way to "get at" the particles individually (the hard part) and do a rotation to the path, (easier) and suspect I will need to do this with individual objects and not particles.
