Hi there, Im new to Max/MSP and am trying to set my Phidget spatial up to output position data using the gyroscope and accel. it already outputs the 3 axis values as m/s/s for accel and deg/s for accel.

I tried simply using an accum object with the gyroscope and multiplying output*0.02(sampling rate) it gives me a number that rapidly goes up but then rapidly goes down - even if you don't rotate back to centre.

I can understand maths - but I'm struggling how to work it into the Max platform.

does anyone have an example to help? or any advice.

Ideally I want to rotate an object according to the orientation of the phidget or at the least be able to get numerically the rotation around the axis so I can measure degrees of movement of a surgeons hand performing short tasks <5mins of data. so Drift I don't think should be too big of a deal.
