I've been working on this patch for awhile, and just can't get it to work right. It's huge, so I'll attach it rather than put the big compressed text block here.

The key place to look at is in the teal area when it's not in presentation mode. It's supposed to be an autosave that runs when the patch closes, or by pushing a button. The problem is, the XML file that is pretty much empty. It only reads

I've messed with this, telling the patch to save in different locations, and a few times, It's kept the data properly. But then it always reverts back to the above.

This was pretty much designed by a friend of mine. I was trying to figure out how to do this, he sent an example, I pretty much copied it, building it by hand in my own patcher to learn how it works, and attaching my own objects to it. I've meticulously studied the connections and everything, and I just don't get what the problem is. His example works fine. Mine is bunk.
