pfft~ full spectrum mode bug?

    Nov 07 2006 | 5:02 pm
Whenever I try to use pfft~ in full spectrum mode on my G4 PB with Max 4.6.2 or 4.5.7, Max quits unexpectedly within a few seconds. On my XP machine with 4.6.2 everything is hunky dory.
Can anyone else reproduce this? See patch below to test. Just load it up, and turn on the dac~.
    OSX 10.4.8, 1.5 GHz PB G4, 1 GB RAM
    MaxMSP 4.6.2/4.5.7 & Jitter 1.6.2/1.5.2
    Main patch:
    pfft~ guts. Save as fftbasic~:

Thanks all for the reports. We're looking into it.

Has there been any luck fixing this bug?
The polar version of the tutorial patch (mentioned above) works fine for me on an Intel Mac, but crashes on PPC.
By the way, the cartesian version of the tutorial patch didn't make any sound on the Intel Mac. Has anyone gotten that to work?

Thanks, Matteo! The tutorial patches now work fine for me on PPC. Even the cartesian version works fine. I wonder if the cartesian one still fails to make sound on an Intel Mac.
