I am testing the core of device I am making.

- all midi clips that are recorded in live are "fitted" in a regular number of bars (2 or 4 or 8 or 16 ...) and the notes in the clips are stretch to the new length

- the global tempo is adjusted accordingly and everything sounds as it was recorded.

- so if you record a loop that is 4.2.1 long it will be transform in a 4.0.0 loop and stretch to fit that number of bars. The new tempo makes it sound the same, but "in time"..

- it's working when you record several clips in the same time.

This alpha version of the device is working quite good.

At the end it will works for audio tracks too, it's almost done.

1: the biggest problem is that if you play too quickly the notes are not well recorded, it's very laggy..

(and it's really weird !) if you select any parameter in Live or just click on the header of any device in the Live while the device is recording everything is perferctly smooth !

-->So I tried to add in my patch someting that takes focus on anything while it's recording. The focus is well done with the API. But it's laggy anyway. It's only working perfectly if you click somewhere 

SO strange ! please... any one has a clue about that ??

2: When the device is loaded it's not working the first time you hit the button..

....lots of little and big other bugs and improvement I am working on..

But please if someone can have a look and help me a bit..

I am very disppointed with the Bug number 1...

I tried to make a device with a lot of explanations and comments inside so it should be easier to help me !

--->often it's not working the 1st time, so, switch off "record-session button"

-click the big button again and start to play in the same time (or toggle "1st note to rec")

--->you can notice it's laggy if you don't play very slowly, so click on any device header. and now it's working

-click the big button again to start the loops of the recorded clips

--->if it's working all the clips you just recorded will be 4 bars long and the tempo will be set accordingly..

PS : if you open the device in edit mode and then close it..it's not working good after. 

you will have to delete it and reload it from the live browser...

Here are the problems...
please help me to fix them !

-put this device in a midi track
-arm some tracks
-click the big button
